Interesting article about the power over system decisions in organisations shifting more and more away from tradtional IT to the respective departments.

That is a core element of digital transformation, and we think a good thing: it does require that say marketing department heads need the skills and/or staff to properly define and then implement their own solutions, but with that comes ownership and the ablity to move fast, and often more cost effectively than hoping for priority on a never ending internal IT project list.
