We are very excited about the official launch of our latest app for Student Pulse Birmingham, Pulse Brum!
Having delivered the original Pulse concept and technology for our client London Symphony Orchestra and subsequently expanded the program to a range of great partners and venues across London, Birmingham is the next step.
Student Pulse enables students to easily browse and purchase tickets to a wide range of classical music live events, directly on their iPhone or Android smartphone.
Offering the complete solution including a built-in loyalty scheme, the app is driven from our platform Komobility.
Orchestra partners and venues have access to their own dashboards to create event listings, select the range of seats available to students and set prices and rewards.
Our partners in Birmingham include the Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Ex Cathedra and Town Hall and Symphony Hall.
The students can access the events after a simple registration, and using the built-in payment option, purchase tickets to the events which are downloaded as mobile tickets to their smartphone, instantly.
The Student Pulse London program is now in its 4th season, and is seeing continued success both in converting new students to the program and engaging existing customers, in initial conversions and subsequent sales.
For Birmingham, the app has been re-branded and updated, but is using the same Komobility platform modules to be consistent with the continued Student Pulse London.
The Kodime team is handling digital and social media marketing for the program in coordination with the Birmingham partners as well as technical and administrative support.
Abby Corfan, Director of Marketing & Digital at the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra: “The Student Pulse London project has demonstrated that if organisations work together it is possible to reach greater numbers of student audiences than could be achieved as separate organisations. We’re excited to continue that model in Birmingham – and to help students in the city find out about the fantastic classical music on offer here”.
Birmingham is the UK’s second largest student city, with over 65,000 higher education students across five universities. The app launched at Freshers’ fairs at the University of Birmingham, Birmingham City University and Birmingham Conservatoire – signing up hundreds of students in the first week.
Pulse Brum is now available in iTunes and Google Play app stores.
