The SMS text messaging module in Komobility offers an easy way to reach Subscribers (contacts, leads) by mobile message, both ad hoc and scheduled. It works two-way, so recipients can send in Keywords (to trigger a response action for example) and also reply freeform. These inbound messages appear in the Message Box and can also be auto-forwarded to any Email address.
Occasionally, when sending reminders for appointments for example, a response SMS may arrive such as “Please take me off the list”. The standard process for unsubscribing by mobile is to send the keyword STOP, which automatically triggers that process.
When spotting a freeform request to be opted out, action this directly at Subscriber level. We have updated this option so that Subscribers can be opted-out with one click from any further mobile messaging, while now retaining the visibility of the mobile number, for example if needed for outbound calls or Subscriber verification.
Go to Subscriber > Edit and use the new X icon for mobile messaging opt-out.
