Party near the Park - Annual charity ball
Overview Party near the Park is the annual charity event of the UK property industry in aid of the charity LandAid. Held in Old Billingsgate in the heart of London, this event attracts leading property companies and their staff for a fun night of entertainment while ensuring that substantial contributions are raised for the LandAid charity. Details As various bands perform live (made up out of teams from the sponsor companies) the audience is invited to show their support for their favourites by interactive SMS text voting (as known from Pop Idol and similar TV shows). The SMS voting is being held throughout the evening, and instant results are being displayed out to the video screens - who's hot, and who's not. All votes are charged at a premium directlty to the mobile handsets, generating revenues for the charity. Product version This campaign was powered by a custom version of PROPtxt, with instant result output to dynamic web pages, animated graphs that were then fed live into the video mixing desks. Premium SMS billing was activated for donations. Components used SMS voting, premium SMS, dynamic results feed to video. Results With over 1.000 attendees, more than 3.000 votes where received meaning each attendee on average voted three times. The premium billing element of the campaign generated a sizeable further contribution for LandAid.
