IFAW.org International Fund for Animal Welfare - Ban it Overview At the time of the seal hunting season in Canada, the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) launched a major awareness campaign throughout the UK. The Campaign sat out to gather public support and inform about cruelty to animals. Objectives To drive public response for a petition to stop the hunting of baby seals. To generate measurable feedback and proof of support from an outdoor billboard campaign. Details The emotionally charged outdoor campaign had only one call to action, mobile response. Supporters were asked to support the cause by texting the message 'Ban it' to the KODIME shortcode. The resulting messages and mobile numbers were compiled and handed in as part of a petition to the UK government. Product The campaign was powered by ZOOMtxt PRO. Components used Shortcode, SMS response, data capture, reporting. Results Over 4 weeks more than 46.000 consumers in the London region actively responded and voiced their support via SMS for the IFAW campaign. |
